Cistercian Abbey at Tintern
A visit to the Cistercian Abbey at Tintern on the banks of the river Usk, South Wales. Construction began in 1131 and with the dissolution of the monasteries and abbeys in 1536 by Henry VIII all the leaded roofs were removed and sold. One of our guests trying out the Welsh triple harp at the Sospan Fach restaurant in Dolgellau. The building was erected as a parish hall in 1606. Enjoying the flower gardens at Bute City Park in Cardiff behind the castle.
