Celtic Rainforest

Yesterday our Walkabout team visited an isolated rainforest and were amazed by its beauty and setting. Llennyrch a hundred acre magical mysterious and incredibly scarce Celtic rainforest surrounded by four hundred acres of spectacular Welsh farmland. Hidden among the lush green hills of the Snowdonia mountains in North Wales at the bottom of a steep gorge is a rare woodland with many mosses and ferns not seen for many years. The land owned by the same family for hundreds of years is now owned by the Cadw Woodland Trust. The the Welsh Government have appropriated 9 million GBP for its restoration.
