The Kissing Gate

The first person to pass through the kissing gate has to close the gate to the next person, providing and opportune moment to demand a kiss in return for entry. Norma & Jim on our Wild Wales Walkabout tested it out his afternoon as they passed through a gate on our way to the ferry boat to transport us to Bardsey Island on this glorious sunny day. We spent time watching the red billed Chough performing their acrobatic flights. A cross dedicated to the 20,00 saints that have been buried here close by the thirteenth century Abbey.
